“How will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” Romans 10:14
Mt. Zion Baptist Church demonstrates a commitment to missions by following the Acts 1:8 model found in the New Testament. It is our desire to support mission endeavors in our community, in our region, our nation, and throughout the world. We demonstrate our support through giving toward missions, praying for missions, and going on various mission trips throughout the year.

In addition to offering activities and events to our community, we support the following local mission efforts both financially and through volunteering:
Grace to the Nations: GTN is a ministry designed to assist the community of need in the Canton area. For more information about this ministry or to volunteer, visit www.gracetothenations.com
Fellowship of Christian Athletes: FCA is dedicated to sharing the gospel to young people involved in athletics. For more information regarding FCA, visit www.fca.org
Casa de Dios: Casa de Dios or “House of God” is an Hispanic congregation that meets on the Mt. Zion campus. This growing ministry seeks to reach the Hispanic community throughout Cherokee county.
Mt. Zion supports the following regional mission efforts both financially and through volunteering.
North Central Missions Center: The North Central Missions Center offers opportunities throughout the year for mission projects working in conjunction with the Georgia Baptist Convention. For more information, visit www.northcentralga.org
Hope Center: The Hope Center in Woodstock, GA assists mothers that are facing crisis pregnancy. For more information or to volunteer, call 770-924-0864.
Georgia Baptist Mobile Dental Unit: The mobile dental unit is an outreach that provides dental care to communities in need. For more information, visit www.gabaptist.org
Greene Community Church: GCC was established in Waynesburg, PA by David and Kellie Crowe, former members of Mt. Zion. Our church seeks to support this ministry financially and through volunteer mission trips. For more information, visit www.greenecommunitychurch.org
North American Mission Board: NAMB is the missions agency of the Southern Baptist Convention for North America. Mt. Zion supports NAMB through our missions giving. Many opportunities exist to support the mission endeavors. For more information, visit www.namb.net
International Mission Board: The IMB is the mission agency of the Southern Baptist Convention for international missions. Mt. Zion supports the IMB through our missions giving in an effort to place missionaries on the field overseas. For more information, visit www.imb.org
Samaritan’s Purse: Mt. Zion supports Samaritans Purse through involvement with Operation Christmas Child. Shoeboxes are collected during the Fall of the year and sent overseas to children in need.
International Mission Trips: Mt. Zion seeks to be involved with missions on a global scale by sending teams to various locations throughout the world.
The Gideons International: Mt. Zion supports the Gideons as they continue to provide copies of the Bible both nationally and internationally to those who do not have access to God’s Word.
